Pastor Dave’s Blog

Pastor Dave Atkins has served in ministry for 25 years within the Calvary Chapel movement, where he and his wife Denisa were deeply shaped by God’s Word and a love for Christ’s Church. Married for 22 years, they have shared a calling to serve side by side in the work of the gospel from the very beginning.

In God’s goodness and perfect timing, Dave and Denisa stepped out in faith to plant Anchor242—an independent, non-denominational church built on the Acts 2:42 model, devoted to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. Anchor242 is not seeking to create a new denomination, but embraces the freedom to partner with pastors and churches across denominational lines, both locally and globally.

They remain deeply grateful for the team God provided to help launch this fellowship on January 5, 2025. Each person is a gift, and the work would not be possible without them.

Pastor Dave’s passion is to teach the whole counsel of God’s Word—clearly, practically, and faithfully—so that people may grow in Christ, be equipped for life and ministry, and reach others with the gospel.
